Here I will list CD reissues and releases that document superlative performances by the superior Handel performers of the past. The standard is not whether or not the performance practice is "authentic" or correct. The standard is whether or not the performance is charismatic, compelling, and musical.
For the moment I give you just scans of the covers of these unsurpassable and irreplaceable recordings, listed alphabetically by artist. As the weeks go by, I plan to add descriptive comments for each of these gramophonic treasures.
By the way, sad to say, inclusion of a recording on this list does not necessarily mean that it is either still in print or easily acquired.
